HI ALL.. THIS IS JERRY TYPING. JUST GOTTEN BACK FROM REVISION 2015, THE FIRST DEMOSCENE EVENT I ATTEND IN AGES, WHILE TRACKING THE LONELY CONSULTANT. SURREALISTIC AND FUN TO BE BACK AND TO BE A PART OF A SCENE EVENT AFTER SUCH A LONG TIME AND MEETING UP WITH OLD AND NEW SCENE FRIENDS. UNFORTUNATELY RIGHT AFTER COMING BACK I WAS SET OUT OF COMMISSION FROM WORK FOR ONE AND A HALF WEEK DUE TO A DODGY OVERSTRAINED SHOULDER (SCENE INJURY??) :) ... I WAS HOWEVER ABLE TO TRACK THIS SONG WHILE BEING AT HOME EVEN THOUGH I WAS SUPPOSED TO STAY OFF COMPUTERS FOR THE PERIOD :) .. THE TITLE OF THE SONG IS A REFERENCE TO MY WORK AS AN IT CONSULTANT, AN OCCUPATION THAT IS VERY LONELY AT TIMES. YOU ARE ESSENTIALLY ON THE OUTSIDE EVEN THOUGH BEING ON THE INSIDE AT THE PLACE YOU ARE WORKING AT, SO YOU FEEL KIND OF LIKE AN OUTCAST. THE SONG CONSISTS OF THREE PARTS. A SLOW PACED GLOOMY START IS FOLLOWED BY A CHAOTIC FAST-PACED GUITAR INSPIRED MIDDLE SECTION, AND IS ROUNDED OFF WITH A MELANCHOLIC END PART. GREETINGS TO ALL MY SCENE COMPATRIOTS, AND THANKS AGAIN FOR BEING A PART OF THE CHIPERIA SERIES..
Curt Cool/Depth's lazy fingers typing text for your screen, that's how (un)lucky you are. Well, these are mysterious times, the Amiga turns 30 and so I'm officially flirting with
younger girls - and have been since about 1991, when I had my first Amiga. Hope you enjoy this sort of crazy tune - I amigine, ehm, imagine the "stop-dance" of my childhood where
you had to stop dancing when the music stopped, otherwise you'd be out. I also like the crazy changes, you might too - or you might not. Hope to do more with even crazier themes
and changes - since I made too many chiptunes to go "standard". Oh, and greets to you and your family and friends (if they're naked).
Donning my scene persona Cutcreator for the first time in some 15-20 years - first by creating this tune here, and now writing this scroller. Crazy really how time flies by and everything changes and yet many things remain the same. It is still fun making tracker music
but not so much writing scrollers smile emoticon. A few days ago I met with my childhood friend Klaus (aka Dice from Kefrens and later Polka Brothers). He and I both started doing music on the Amiga together. I have not seen him often over the past 20 years. Then suddenly over the past 2 months weve met twice. Simultaneously I get invited to make a MOD for this mag, and now I am sitting here writing a scroller just like I did some 20 years ago at some demo-party where Klaus were also present. It is really surrealistic and feels like time is somehow looping back on itself to converge and default itself back to its original state. That is obviously not the case, but just my observation of a curious coincidence. What else can I say to fill this scroller. A few facts. Im 40 years old by now. I have a wife and two kids. I have a full time job. I am by physical appearance an adult, but inside I still feel like a kid wanting play with music, painting, game making, and other creative things. A quick greetings go to the Chiperia team and musicians for keeping the flame burning for chip/ Amiga music, to my old friend Dice/Tivurr (who will not likely read this) and to everyone else out there who read my scroller and enjoy my new tune. NOTORIOUS HERE, WRITING IN A HOTEL ROOM AFTER THE FIRST DAY AT GERP 2015. I'M VERY HAPPY TO HAVE BEEN SELECTED FOR ANOTHER CHIPERIA ISSUE. IT FEELS LIKE THE CHIP GENRE IS STILL GROWING STRONG AND THE CHIPERIA PROJECT HAS GAINED A LOT OF SKILLED MEMBERS THANKS TO SLASH. THIS YEAR HAS BEEN VERY EVENTFUL FOR ME EVEN THOUGH I HAVEN'T RELEASED THE RESULT OF MY WORK YET. TOMORROW IS THE GERP COMPOS AND I'M HOPING FOR LOTS OF DEMOS SO THAT WE CAN PROVE THAT THE AMIGA SCENE IS GROWING LIKE THE BACTERUA IN SUGAR SOLUTION IN FAVOURABLE LIGHT AND HEAT. YES, I HAVE HAD A FEW BEERS AND ORBITER GAVE ME SOME WHITE RUSSIAN ON TOP OF THAT. SLEEP DEPRIVED AND A BIT STRESSED ABOUT TOMORROW BUT IN A VERY GOOD MOOD, I HOPE TO PUT SOME EAR WORMS IN YOUR HEAD SOON!
